RAILS Seeking Examples of EDI Initiatives for Its New Library Pulse Page

Posted on August 9, 2020 by Eric Edwards

(via Gwen Gregory, University of Illinois at Chicago, on behalf of Mary Witt, RAILS)

The Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS) just launched a new library Pulse Page on equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). The Page is available at the top of our homepage. Our goal is to share the most current information about RAILS EDI initiatives and service offerings, as well as general resources that may be helpful as our members plan their own EDI initiatives.

The Library Examples section of the Page includes a survey form that libraries can complete to share information on their EDI activities. I hope you will all share what you are doing by completing this form. Members will be able to view the survey results on the Pulse Page, also.

If you are aware of any general EDI resources that would be helpful to RAILS libraries, please pass those along as well so we can post them on the Pulse Page. Direct any questions to Mary Witt (Director, Marketing & Communications) at mary.witt@railslibraries.info.
