The ILA Conference Program Committee is excited to announce that registration for the 2019 ILA Annual Conference is open!
The theme of this year’s conference is Shift: Where Will You Grow? and it will explore how individuals and institutions can shift ways of thinking by: looking at new ways of providing services, reassessing how something is done, changing commonly held beliefs, exploring similarities between different types of libraries, and engaging with ideas outside of the library world. Conference highlights include:
- President’s Reception: 8:00 – 10:00 p.m., Monday, October 21–ILA President Molly Beestrum invites all conference attendees to attend this information conference kickoff. All are welcome and registration is not required.
- Awards Luncheon: Noon – 1:15 p.m., Tuesday, October 22–Celebrate the achievements of your colleagues at the 2019 ILA Awards Luncheon. Pre-registration to attend this event is required. Tickets to attend are not included in the registration fee.
- YSF Author Breakfast: 8:00 – 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 23–Andrea Beaty, author of Iggy Peck, Architect, will discuss her work at this annual event. Pre-registration is required to attend this event. Tickets to attend are not included in the registration fee.
- Academic Libraries Unconference: 8:00 – 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 23–Join academic colleagues for networking, idea sharing, and a continental breakfast to discuss topics important to your everyday work. Academic library staff from all departments, classifications, and levels of experience are welcome to attend.
- DiversiTEA: 3:00 – 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 23–Join the ILA Diversity Committee for tea and a presentation from multilingual anti-oppression educator Corrie Wallace. This event is open to all conference attendees.
- Trustee Day: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Thursday, October 24–A full day of conference programming is planned for library trustees. The day begins with continental breakfast and includes a luncheon and in the exhibit hall. Trustee Day registration is required in order to attend meal events.
