Wishes to all for a happy and healthy 2011!
As I reflect on Winter, it’s the time to plan projects, meetings, presentations, read and connect. The newsletter highlights upcoming conferences, continuing education and networking opportunities for all our members. HSLI members who volunteer to exhibit for HSLI state or local exhibits will receive mileage reimbursement.
2011 will be the year to revise the bylaws governing HSLI. The bylaws committee expects to recommend any changes by the summer board meeting.
Don’t forget to mark your calendar for this year’s HSLI Conference. The HSLI Annual Conference will be held at October 13-14, 2011 at Starved Rock Lodge and Conference Center, Utica. http://www.starvedrockstatepark.org/ Virginia Gale and Linda Feinberg are co-chairing the conference and looking for volunteers. AHIP points or tenure track points are earned through committee service.
Check-out the new publications page on our website and catch-up with members activities in the newsletter. Let’s celebrate with all our Health Science Colleagues the 175th anniversary of the National Library of Medicine in 2011.
