REMINDER: <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The Health Science Librarians of Illinois Conference Planning Committee invites poster proposals for the HSLI 2018 Annual Conference, be held September 26-28 in Rockford, Illinois. The submission deadline is August 17.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Ideas can interpret the conference theme, “Rivers of Data, Streams of Knowledge”, can include, but are not limited to, any area of librarianship, such as instruction, leadership, and program development, in addition to communication, collection development, outreach, and evaluation. Posters from last year covered a wide variety of topics, ranging from collaboration, technology programs, and data fluency, to disabilities, bookplates and even tattoos.\u00a0\u00a0If you have presented a poster (at MLA or another meeting) this year, or plan to present one (at Midwest Chapter\/MLA or elsewhere), that you have not shown at a past HSLI Conference, please consider submitting it.<\/p>\n

E-mail your proposal abstract (no more than 300 words) to Linda Feinberg <<\/span>Lfeinberg@northshore.org<\/span><\/a>>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The <\/span>deadline<\/b> for abstract submission is Friday, August 17<\/b>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Notification of poster acceptance will be made Labor Day week, after review by the poster committee.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The posters will be presented during Nancy’s Reception on the evening of Thursday, September 27, starting at 6:00 PM.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Posters must be made available to post electronically on the HSLI website after the meeting.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Each poster presenter must register for the HSLI conference (which includes each author attending)<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NEW THIS YEAR!<\/b> Each poster will receive a stipend to help offset printing costs.\u00a0 One presenter per poster will receive a stipend, and an individual presenter can receive a maximum of only one stipend, even if submitting multiple posters.<\/p>\n

The 2018 Health Science Librarians of Illinois Annual Conference will take place from Wednesday, September 26, to Friday, September 28 in Rockford, IL at the Cliffbreakers Hotel & Conference Center [also known as: <\/span>Riverview Inn & Suites, an Ascent Hotel Collection Member]. The Conference, with its theme, “Rivers of Data, Streams of Knowledge”, will feature continuing-education opportunities, invited speakers and updates, sessions for posters and lightning talks, a vendor showcase, along with networking opportunities for library and information science professionals and students alike.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
