Hello,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The August 1 proposal deadline<\/b> is approaching for lightning talks, a new offering at the Health Science Librarians of Illinois (HSLI) conference. A designated timeslot on the afternoon of Thursday, September 27, has been set aside for sharing\u00a0experiences, best practices, or how lemonade was made out of lemons! Each presenter will be allotted 5-10 minutes, depending on how many abstracts are submitted and accepted. There will be ample time left for Q&A and lively discussion. \u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Lightning talks sessions are guaranteed to spark creative ideas that we can all consider and adapt in our own libraries. Please consider sharing your expertise or story. To apply, please submit an abstract of no more than 200 words as an application to Frances Drone-Silvers (<\/span>frances.drone-silvers@carle.com<\/span><\/a>) now through August 1, 2018.<\/b> Notification of acceptance will be sent by August 17 after review by the lightning talk subcommittee. Co-authored presentations are acceptable, though there should be no more than two presenting authors.\u00a0The presenting author\/s must register for and plan on attending the HSLI conference.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Attendees at the 2018 HSLI conference also have opportunities to present in the poster session<\/b> (proposal deadline:<\/b> August 17. <\/b>See sep. <\/span>announcement<\/a>).
