The Georgia Library Association and Georgia Association for Instructional Technology\u00a0 invite proposals for the 2018 Georgia Libraries Conference, nee’ GA COMO.\u00a0 This year, our theme is ‘Open to All’.\u00a0 We hope to highlight the interesting, innovative, and thoughtful ways librarians are working to effectively serve all their patrons.\u00a0 “Open to All” can also denote the many activities we do such as information literacy, accessibility initiatives, foreign language items, specially designed classes and storytimes, inclusivity in recruitment or professional development opportunities, or even offering access to items and services that people might not otherwise have access to (like 3D printers or passes to local attractions).<\/p>\n
This year’s conference will take place October 3-5, 2018 at the Columbus Georgia Convention and Trade Center in Columbus, Georgia. Proposals are now being accepted for pre-conference sessions, presentations, demonstrations, and posters.\u00a0 Come share your great ideas alongside our keynotes, ALA’s Loida Garcia-Febo and the Dollywood Foundation’s Christy Crouse!<\/p>\n
