\nAbout the Council of Independent Colleges
\nCIC is the major national service organization for all small and mid-sized, independent, liberal arts colleges and universities in the U.S. CIC focuses on providing services to campus leaders through seminars, workshops, and programs that assist institutions in improving educational offerings, administrative and financial performance, and institutional visibility.

\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Applicant’s institution must be a member of Council of Independent Colleges
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Experience with outreach to faculty and administration members
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Experience with information literacy teaching
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Interest in coordinating activities to increase interaction between CIC and ACRL
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Financial support to attend CIC Annual events for the length of the three-year term if not funded by ACRL (Note:\u00a0 The liaison will be eligible to apply for travel funding through the ACRL Liaisons Grants Committee.)
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Experience with or interest in outreach and education efforts
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent communication skills
\nDesired:
\n–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Record of serving CLS and\/or ACRL on committees, task forces, etc.
\n–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In order to ensure a smooth transition for the liaisons, ideally the successful candidate will be able to attend the CIC 2018 Institute for Chief Academic Officers (November 3-6 in St. Louis, MO) along with the current CIC liaison, Lisabeth Chabot.\u00a0 The College Libraries Section is willing to provide financial support in order for the successful candidate to attend the conference.
