LILi invites you to share your library or program&#8217;s innovative teachable moments by submitting proposals with practical applications. <\/span><span lang=\"EN\">Lifelong learning and information literacy (IL) development occurs in countless contexts and communities, within and outside the library. Given the skills required to compete in a rapidly changing modern knowledge economy, we can learn from our colleagues in all types of libraries. Possible topics include, but are not limited to the following, all as related to information empowerment:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Community outreach and organizing strategies<\/li>\n<li>DIY publications (e.g., zines, podcasts, blogs, apps) and other knowledge sharing creations<\/li>\n<li>Programming for various populations, including children, teens, seniors, immigrants, English language learners, and other marginalized groups<\/li>\n<li>Workshops, one-shots, credit courses, and training sessions supporting students\/users\/patrons in online and face-to-face settings<\/li>\n<li>Community archiving<\/li>\n<li>Metaliteracy<\/li>\n<li>Data Literacy<\/li>\n<li>Digital citizenship<\/li>\n<li>Makerspace and escape room activities that foster transferable problem solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Open educational resource (OER) and open pedagogy initiatives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span lang=\"EN\">LILi invites you to submit proposals with practical application and built-in audience interaction <u>by March 30, 2018<\/u> for a 15-minute presentation.
