The grant will help someone from an underrepresented and\/or marginalized group attend the conference by providing funding for registration or accommodations at a nearby hotel. Multiple applicants may be awarded the grant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">To be eligible to apply for the travel grant, one must meet the following requirements.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">be working in librarianship (professional or paraprofessional), pursing a job in librarianship, or enrolled in an ALA accredited post-graduate program.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">identify as a member of a racial or ethnic minority in the United States, the LGBTQ+ community, or as a person with a disability. Underrepresented and\/or marginalized groups are identified in accordance with the ALA&#8217;s Office for Diversity, Literacy, and Outreach&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ala.org\/advocacy\/diversity\/workforcedevelopment\/recruitmentfordiversity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recruitment resources<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><strong>Applications will be accepted until Monday, February 19, 2018<\/strong>.
