The 2018 Illinois Library Association Conference, <\/span><strong>Libraries: All Inclusive<\/strong><span class=\"x_nanospell-typo\">, is a chance for us to come together and share our ideas about promoting inclusivity in our communities, among our patrons, and within our staffs. How are you welcoming underserved populations into your library? What can we do to build community, inside and outside the library walls?<\/span><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><\/b><span class=\"x_nanospell-typo\">Share your ideas by submitting a conference proposal. The ILA Annual Conference Program Committee is seeking programs including (but not limited to) the following topics.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>reaching <span class=\"x_nanospell-typo\">underserved populations and\/or segments of your community<\/span><\/li>\n<li>building communities<\/li>\n<li>small and rural libraries<\/li>\n<li>s<span class=\"x_nanospell-typo\">taff inclusion (support staff, etc.)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"x_nanospell-typo\"><span class=\"x_nanospell-typo\">library leadership &#8211; staff, trustees, and the community<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"x_nanospell-typo\"><span class=\"x_nanospell-typo\"><span class=\"x_nanospell-typo\">services to new Americans, refugees, ESL<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li>neurodiversity<\/li>\n<li>p<span class=\"x_nanospell-typo\">assive programming (library card not required)<\/span><\/li>\n<li>fandom<\/li>\n<li>gaming<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Deadline for submission is 11:59 p.m. on Friday, March 16.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Please Note: <\/strong><em>Conference speakers who are employed by or a trustee of a library (academic, public, school, special)<\/em><span class=\"x_nanospell-typo\"><i>, a library agency, or library school located in Illinois are required to register and pay the appropriate registration fee for the conference.
