The event will be co-located with the Summer ESIP Federation Meeting, at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. The DUG meeting will be a two-day event featuring plenary presentations, topical breakout sessions, and community-led discussions.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"x_gmail-\">There is no registration fee to attend and participate in the DUG meeting.\u00a0<\/span>Information on registration, along with group hotel rates, can be found\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/DUG2017\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The 2017 meeting theme, &#8220;Data Discoverability, Reproducibility, and Sustainability&#8221;, will bring together stakeholders to explore current advancements in these areas. Community talks and posters that explore broad topics of discoverability, reproducibility and sustainability are invited. Some examples are provided below.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_gmail-\"><b>Data Discoverability<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_gmail-\">d<\/span>escribing, documenting, and representing data<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_gmail-\">c<\/span>onnecting journal articles to datasets to repositories<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_gmail-\">d<\/span>istinguishing between publishing, data, preservation repositories<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_gmail-\"><b>Reproducibility<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_gmail-\">b<\/span>est practices, guidelines, and standards<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_gmail-\">p<\/span>rocedures, tools, and workflows<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_gmail-\">p<\/span>rojects, prototypes, and use cases<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_gmail-\"><b>Sustainability<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_gmail-\">c<\/span>ollaborations, partnerships, and stakeholders<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_gmail-\">i<\/span>nfrastructure, resources, and support<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_gmail-\">c<\/span>omputation, integration, and certification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">DataONE encourages DataONE Member Nodes, data scientists, researchers, scientists, students and others to submit abstracts for posters and talks. Abstracts are solicited during the registration process. Talks will be approximately 10-20 minutes in duration, to be confirmed with development of the agenda. Submissions for talks will be accepted until\u00a0<strong>Friday, June 2<\/strong>. Authors will be notified of the status of their submissions on\u00a0<strong>Monday, June 12<\/strong>. Oral presentations are not guaranteed, and some submissions may be accepted as posters instead.
