Liaisons have an opportunity to present to the community about what they&#8217;ve learned, as they help develop connections between librarians and other professions. The STS Liaisons Committee has created an annual online forum in late spring which gives liaisons the chance to present on the organizations they work with to the STS community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-CA\">The following liaison positions will be available from July, 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-CA\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.asis.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span lang=\"EN\">Association for Information Science and Technology<\/span><\/a><\/span><span lang=\"EN\">\u00a0(ASIS&amp;T)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iamslic.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span lang=\"EN\">International Association of Aquatic and Marine Science Libraries and Information Centers<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN\">\u00a0(IAMSLIC)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sla.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span lang=\"EN\">Special Libraries Association<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN\">\u00a0(SLA)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\"><a href=\"http:\/\/pam.sla.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Physics &#8211; Astronomy &#8211; Math Division<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN\">(PAM)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><a href=\"http:\/\/scitech.sla.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span lang=\"EN\">Science -Technology Division<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN\">\u00a0(DST)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><a href=\"http:\/\/usain.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span lang=\"EN\">United States Agricultural Information Network<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN\">\u00a0(USAIN)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Appointed liaisons for STS\u00a0<span lang=\"EN\">are expected to serve at least a two-year term (if possible),\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN\">attend the annual conference or meeting of their assigned organization, and\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN\">report back to the STS community<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">If you are interested in becoming an STS liaison, please e-mail a short statement (200 or fewer words) to the Co-Chairs of the Committee, explaining why you are interested in the association for which you would like to be a liaison, and sharing your experience or involvement in that association. The deadline is\u00a0<strong>Tuesday, April 25<\/strong>.
