Would travel funding help you to attend? Thanks to support from our sponsors, LITA is offering several $500 travel scholarships. The scholarships will be awarded competitively, based on the committee&#8217;s ranking of applications received by the deadline. More information about eligibility is below.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><\/b>ALA Attendees are encouraged to participate in LITA AdaCamp if they meet the following criteria.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">identifying as a woman in a way that is significant to them<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">participating in library technology (in any role)<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">being able to participate actively in discussions about women&#8217;s experiences in library technology, including talking about women&#8217;s achievements and the challenges they face<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">wanting to work together and share strategies to support and promote women in the field<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">being young or old, students or professionals; hailing from a diverse range of backgrounds and types of libraries; and reflecting the breadth of librarianship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Scholarship applications will be ranked highly if they meet the following criteria.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">belonging to a group not well-represented in LITA, including, but not limited to, people of color, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">demonstrating an interest in actively contributing during the LITA AdaCamp.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">These scholarships are intended for people who couldn&#8217;t otherwise attend AdaCamp. LITA can&#8217;t assess your financial need; we trust you to self-identify accurately.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">To apply, fill out\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSc7m3M0aMF2MlCfizDcYXvjDdwd5rc4IgBwantnjH0fac2OSQ\/viewform?usp=sf_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this google form<\/a>. Applications are due on\u00a0<strong>Saturday, April 15<\/strong>. We will notify you by Monday, May 1.
