On Friday, June 23, at the 2017 ALA\u00a0Annual Conference in Chicago<\/a>, the Emerging Technologies Section (ETS) of the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) are hosting\u00a0We Are All User Experience Librarians: Creating Change from the Trenches<\/a>\u00a0preconference. This half-day session (9:00am – 12:00pm) focuses on user testing and experience using discussion, presentations, and interactive exercises.\u00a0Registration costs<\/a>\u00a0can be found on the conference website.<\/span><\/p>\n Presenters offer strategies and tools from throughout the life cycle of a user experience design project, and will provide an entertaining look at pitfalls to avoid and lessons learned. Unlike other sessions about UX design, the proposed workshop will focus on providing attendees with skills and techniques they can apply at their home institutions with little expense or pre-planning.
