The GMR will begin accepting applications for these awards on April 1, 2017, with the period of performance starting May 1, 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Seven unique funding opportunities are being offered this year:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nnlm.gov\/gmr\/funding\/emergency-preparedness-award-0\"><span class=\"s2\">Emergency Preparedness Award<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nnlm.gov\/gmr\/funding\/express-outreach-award-0\"><span class=\"s2\">Express Outreach Award<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nnlm.gov\/gmr\/funding\/nnlm-emerging-trends-award\"><span class=\"s2\">NNLM Emerging Trends Award<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nnlm.gov\/gmr\/funding\/outreach-award\"><span class=\"s2\">Outreach Award<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s6\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nnlm.gov\/gmr\/funding\/professional-development-award-0\"><span class=\"s2\">Professional Development Award<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nnlm.gov\/gmr\/funding\/public-library-outreach-award\"><span class=\"s2\">Public Library Outreach Award<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nnlm.gov\/gmr\/funding\/technology-enhancement-award\"><span class=\"s2\">Technology Enhancement Award<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p6\"><span class=\"s1\">The GMR has also launched its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nnlm.maps.arcgis.com\/apps\/MapSeries\/index.html?appid=bca13f4e30734b56bdfdc8f882345739\"><span class=\"s2\">Underserved Health Communities Project<\/span><\/a>, which is an interactive map program showing data and stories related to twenty medically underserved counties within the Greater Midwest Region. Outreach projects that target medically underserved areas and populations, such as those highlighted in the interactive map project, will receive priority when funding is awarded.
