Proposals should reflect how l<span class=\"s1\">ibraries of all types foster diversity, engage community, and champion social justice. The 2017 meeting is a chance for us to come together and share our ideas to better our communities, our institutions, and ourselves. How are you making a difference? What are you doing to improve your library and uplift your patrons? Tell us about it. Illinois libraries of all sizes and types make big impacts on their unique communities. Our conference should represent diversity throughout our state, and we especially encourage submissions from typically underrepresented perspectives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Share your ideas by submitting a conference proposal. The ILA Annual Conference Program Committee is seeking programs addressing anything that makes you want to &#8220;Rise Up&#8221;, especially the following topics.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li><span class=\"s1\">community and campus engagement and wellness<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"s1\">compassionate service<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"s1\">internal and external leadership at all levels<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"s1\">activism and social-justice initiatives<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"s1\">student success and achievement<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"s1\">behind-the-scenes work that supports access and the patron experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"s1\">assessment and data-driven decision making<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The deadline for submission is\u00a0<strong>Friday, March 24.\u00a0<\/strong>For more information about the conference, and to submit your proposals, click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ila.org\/events\/conference-call-for-programs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(via the Illinois Library Association) The Illinois Library Association is now accepting proposal submissions for its 2017 Annual Conference, themed &#8220;Rise Up&#8221;.
