Don&#8217;t miss out on this regional opportunity to connect with your digital collections colleagues.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/news.minitex.umn.edu\/2016-upper-midwest-digital-collections-conference-contentdm-users-group-meeting\">Register<\/a>\u00a0now!<\/p>\n<p>The Upper Midwest Digital Collections Conference (#UMDCC16) features the following events.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>keynote speaker Trevor Owens on IMLS&#8217;s national digital platform priority<\/li>\n<li>workshops on metadata for oral history collections, copyright, and managing born-digital content (seats available)<\/li>\n<li>presentations on a range of topics from A\/V digitization to web archiving to community engagement<\/li>\n<li>tours of local museums and archives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The CONTENTdm Users Group Meeting includes the following activities.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>keynote panel with Bruce Washburn and Jeff Mixter of OCLC Research and the Strategic Advisory Group for Digital Collections: &#8220;CONTENTdm Data Refinery: A Linked Data Pilot Study&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>a CONTENTdm product update and Q&amp;A with Product Manager Shane Huddleston<\/li>\n<li>a preview of the next phase of CONTENTdm development<\/li>\n<li>presentations from CONTENTdm users<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Registration fees<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$55 for Upper Midwest Digital Collections Conference (August 9)<\/li>\n<li>$35 for workshops (August 10)<\/li>\n<li>$0 for CONTENTdm Users Group Meeting (August 10-11)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The conference is organized by Minitex, WiLS, and RAILS (Reaching Across Illinois Library System), along with a regional planning committee.
