If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the volunteer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mlanet.org\/e\/sx\/in\/eid=44\" target=\"_blank\">form<\/a> by <strong>Friday, July 15<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Communities Goal Task Force<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>availability: one member<\/li>\n<li>duration: two to three years<\/li>\n<li>specific competency: experience with MLA Sections and SIGs<\/li>\n<li>time commitment: monthly meetings with preparation work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Continuing Education Committee &#8211; Education Planning Workgroup<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>availability: up to three members<\/li>\n<li>duration: two to three years<\/li>\n<li>specific competency: curriculum planning (education program design)<\/li>\n<li>time commitment: monthly meetings with preparation work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Awards and Grants Endowment Task Force<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>availability: one member<\/li>\n<li>duration: 10 months<\/li>\n<li>specific competency: financial experience related to managing endowments as a non-profit treasurer or board member<\/li>\n<li>time commitment: regular meetings with preparation work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Rising Stars Jury<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>availability: four members<\/li>\n<li>duration: 10 months<\/li>\n<li>specific competency: none<\/li>\n<li>time commitment: majority of work occurs in November-December 2016<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information on each committee&#8217;s responsibilities and activities, go <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mlanet.org\/p\/cm\/ld\/fid=1088?platform=hootsuite\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(via MLA) Medical Library Association President Teresa L.
