This year&#8217;s event will take place\u00a0<strong>from Thursday, November 17, to Sunday, November 20<\/strong>, at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel in Fort Worth, Texas. Proposed programs may take the form of full-day preconference sessions or poster presentations, in addition to concurrent sessions that include panel presentations and moderated discussions. Topics related to services at any type of library&#8211;including academic, government, or special&#8211;are acceptable, and proposals may cover any technology-related projects or concepts that attendees might find interesting. Some suggested subjects for program proposals include library spaces (virtual or physical), emerging technologies, &#8220;Big Data&#8221;, and consortial resource-sharing. Those who are new to the profession, such as library school students and first-time presenters, and members of underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to submit proposals.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline for submitting a session idea is\u00a0<strong>Friday, April 29<\/strong>. Those chosen to present at the 2016 LITA Forum will be able to register at a reduced rate.
