The session will take place <strong>online Wednesday, April 15, at 1:00 PM CDT<\/strong>. The presenters are Melissa Johnson, Interim Director, Duda Family Business Library, and&nbsp;Tracey Rinehart, Instruction Coordinator &amp; Business Graduate Programs Librarian, both of Southern Methodist University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This session will focus on ways to engage with adjunct faculty by hosting a one-day retreat focusing on teaching, research, and topics central to adjuncts\u2019 daily workflows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Goals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide participants with insight and ideas on how to conduct a rejuvenating adjunct using a library retreat in order to cultivate a sense of belonging, connectedness, and partnership.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inspire attendees to explore ideas to adapt a similar event at their home institution in order to cultivate a sense of belonging, connectedness, and partnership.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The session will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An interactive Mentimeter presentation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A poll to determine if participants also experienced similar adjunct involvement issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Time for participants to brainstorm ways they can implement a retreat-like event at their home institutions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Time for participants to share some of their ideas with the larger group to generate additional interest and ideas.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>No registration is required.<\/strong> Please join the meeting <a href=\"https:\/\/uci.zoom.us\/j\/9498248706?_x_zm_rtaid=UjNF4zSHSvOovcZGcDXKcw.1775501882193.e026bccc006005f6659fb66d1bac3951&amp;_x_zm_rhtaid=813#success\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.
