The Committee is currently seeking proposals to present lightning talks that highlight research and practitioner projects related to science and technology librarianship. Registration for ALA Annual and STS membership are <strong>not<\/strong> required in order to present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Forum provides an excellent opportunity to share original research that is in progress or nearly complete. Selected presenters will give lightning talks, a showcase for 7-minute presentations on research endeavors or practitioner projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Submissions should clearly address the following.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>brief background information about your project<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the research question or problem that drove your project<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the methods used<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>your findings and a brief discussion that includes the impact of your project<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a brief description of any equity, diversity, or inclusion considerations in your work or ways in which your work upholds the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ala.org\/tools\/ethics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ALA Code of Ethics<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ala.org\/aboutala\/missionpriorities\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ALA Mission and Priorities<\/a>.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Submissions will be anonymously peer-reviewed and selected based on the quality of the submission and the demonstration of significant progress toward completing the research project by June, 2026.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Note: <\/strong>Please do not include any identifying elements (name, institution, etc.) in your abstract or title.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Submit proposals <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/SLJVdyYeJqH6EwWM7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a> by <strong>Tuesday, March 31<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have any questions, please ask the STS Research Committee Co-Chairs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Haoyong Lan, <a href=\"mailto:haoyonglan@cmu.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">haoyonglan@cmu.edu<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">William Jacobs, <a href=\"mailto:wjacobs@sfsu.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wjacobs@sfsu.edu<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(via William Jacobs, San Francisco State University) The Research Committee of the ACRL Science and Technology Section (STS) will host its Research Forum online Tuesday, June 16.
