This is a unique opportunity to give back to the profession, collaborate with fellow members and help spotlight exemplary work in libraries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Composition and Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Most juries consist of five members, plus a chair. The time commitment is approximately five months. Juries finalize their selections by March 1, 2026.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If volunteering for the Schneider Family Book Award, please note interest by February 15, 2026. As a book award committee, the working calendar for Schneider does not follow the same timeline as other listed awards. Please refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ala.org\/awards\/books-media\/schneider-family-book-award\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Schneider webpage<\/a> for further details.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Individuals, their institutions, or current donors are ineligible to serve on the jury for an award they wish to be considered for.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Submit your interest in serving by <strong>Monday, October 20<\/strong>, using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/36D8PCB\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">application form<\/a>.
