Know a Health Science Librarians of Illinois member who has made a lasting difference in the organization? Consider nominating the person for the 2023 Starfish Thrower Award!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
First presented in 2000, the Starfish Thrower Award is based on the story of the child who \u201cmakes a difference\u201d by throwing stranded starfish back into the ocean one at a time. Thus, the Award recognizes the efforts and contributions of an individual HSLI member toward the good of the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To nominate an HSLI colleague, or to nominate yourself, please complete the nomination form, available at here<\/a>, and e-mail<\/strong> it to HSLI President Eric Edwards, at eedwards@ilsos.gov<\/a> or president@hsli.org<\/a>, no later than Wednesday, September 6 (note new deadline)<\/strong>.
