I have not received any so far. Please see the original announcement below for details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Want to share a unique program, project, or event at your library? Need an opportunity to practice your photography skills? Consider submitting an image for the HSLI photo contest!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The submission should adhere to the following guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>no strict requirements for the file type and size, but JPEG or a similar format would be ideal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>should show an innovative, creative, or fun activity in the submitter\u2019s library that goes beyond just everyday operations; for examples, check the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20230822154314\/https:\/\/www.ila.org\/news\/3530\/vote-for-the-2022-ila-member-photo-of-the-year\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Illinois Library Association\u2019s contest<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>if possible, the activity should relate to the health sciences or medicine in some way, but that is not a requirement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>provide a brief description of the activity (1-2 sentences) that makes the photo\u2019s content easy to understand, even to someone who is unfamiliar with the activity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>people in the photo do not necessarily need to be HSLI members, but the person taking and submitting the photo should be<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>identifying people in the photo is not required, and the submitter should make certain to ask for permission from people in the photo before sharing any identifying information, or even taking the photo in the first place, if necessary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>should be in good taste and adhere to the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20230822154314\/https:\/\/hsli.org\/newsletter\/code-of-conduct\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HSLI Code of Conduct<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please e-mail all submissions to Eric Edwards, at <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20230822154314\/mailto:eedwards@ilsos.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">eedwards@ilsos.gov<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20230822154314\/mailto:president@hsli.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">president@hsli.org<\/a>, by <strong>Friday, September 1<\/strong>. The membership will then have the chance to vote on a favorite photo, using criteria based on the above guidelines, in early September. Eric Edwards will announce the winner at the HSLI Business Meeting, which will take place online Tuesday, September 26, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM CDT.
