I have not received any nomination submissions so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Know a Health Science Librarians of Illinois member who has made a lasting difference in the organization? Consider nominating the person for the 2024&nbsp;Starfish&nbsp;Thrower&nbsp;Award!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First presented in 2000, the&nbsp;Starfish&nbsp;Thrower&nbsp;Award is based on the story of the child who \u201cmakes a difference\u201d by throwing stranded&nbsp;starfish&nbsp;back into the ocean, one at a time. Thus, the Award recognizes the efforts and contributions of an individual HSLI member toward the good of the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To nominate an HSLI colleague, or to nominate yourself, please complete the nomination form, available\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/hsli.org\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/starfishthrowerawardform.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>, and\u00a0<strong>e-mail<\/strong>\u00a0it to HSLI President Eric Edwards, at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20241008151947\/mailto:eedwards@ilsos.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">eedwards@ilsos.gov<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20241008151947\/mailto:president@hsli.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">president@hsli.org<\/a>, no later than\u00a0<strong>Tuesday, October 1<\/strong>.
