The Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries of Illinois (CARLI) is excited to announce one final lightening round of the Illinois SCOERs Sub-grants for the creation of Open Educational Resources, (OER), made possible from the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) in the U.S. Department of Education.<\/p>\n
CARLI seeks grant proposals for the creation of Open Educational Resources (OER) for courses in any subject are that have a high enrollment, high textbook costs, are taught multiple times a year, or that focus on some aspect of “The Human Condition: Care, Development, and Lifespan”.<\/p>\n
We seek pedagogically innovative projects to create ancillary materials to accompany open textbooks that you may already be using in your classes or that you are planning to adapt\/create for your course. These OER will implement high-impact, culturally relevant\/inclusive, collaborative projects in support of\u00a0open education<\/a> and reduced textbook costs and facilitate creative pedagogy.<\/p>\n New Changes<\/b> to the program:<\/p>\n CARLI will award a minimum of 5 grants as part of Illinois SCOERs. Each applicant team may request up to $75,000. Applicants who have already received an Illinois SCOERs sub-grant may apply for an additional $15,000 in funds if needed.<\/p>\n CARLI holds weekly Office Hours<\/a> on Thursdays from 3:00 to 4:00 PM CDT to answer any questions regarding Open Educational Resources and the Illinois SCOERs sub-grants.<\/p>\n The application is available here:\u00a0Apply for Illinois SCOERs | CARLI<\/a>.
