If you have an MLIS or equivalent degree from an ALA-accredited institution and are currently employed as a professional librarian in a Technical Services role in an academic library, we invite you to participate in this survey.<\/p>\n
The purpose of the study is to examine librarians’ perceptions on MLIS curriculum and how well it prepares librarians for a career in a Technical Services role in an academic library. For the purposes of this survey, the phrase “a Technical Services role” refers to a position in which a librarian specializes in acquiring, organizing, and\/or preserving library materials in any format. Participants will be asked to complete an online questionnaire which should take 8-12 minutes to complete.<\/p>\n
All survey responses are anonymous and no identifying information will be collected. Participation is completely voluntary, and participants may withdraw from the study at any time.<\/p>\n
Survey responses will be collected until Sunday, October 30, at which time the questionnaire will be closed to more responses.<\/p>\n
