This was a difficult decision for me, reached after much consideration.<\/p>\n<p>The July 2016 timeline should allow for ample time to conduct a search for my replacement. Over the next several weeks and months, I will be working with the Office of the Vice President of Academic Affairs and the Board of Directors on a plan for the next steps. I expect to have more details about the search process for a new Executive Director after the state budget stalemate is resolved, allowing the administrative focus at the University to shift to other important issues.<\/p>\n<p>It has been an honor to work with the staff and directors of the academic libraries in the state, and with the CARLI staff, throughout this first decade of CARLI&#8217;s existence.
