This ninth biennial conference will be offered in a <strong>virtual format from\u00a0November 1 to 4 (Tuesday-Friday).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Conference aims to build and further a vibrant library assessment community by bringing together interested practitioners and researchers who have responsibility or interest in the broad field of library assessment. The event provides a mix of formats that stimulate discussion and provide workable ideas for effective, sustainable, and practical library assessment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Proposal Topics<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Proposals that cover\u00a0any aspect\u00a0of library assessment in\u00a0any\u00a0type\u00a0of library are invited, in addition to the special topics listed below.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>assessment program establishment\/development\/sustainment<\/li>\n<li>collaborative assessments (including intra-institutional, multi-institutional and accreditation)<\/li>\n<li>COVID-19 and libraries<\/li>\n<li>critical and\/or theoretical perspectives on assessment<\/li>\n<li>data presentation and visualization<\/li>\n<li>diversity, equity, and inclusion<\/li>\n<li>usability\/user experience\/accessibility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Presentation Formats<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Descriptions of the paper, poster, and learning session formats are available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.libraryassessment.org\/presenters\/proposal-guidelines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.\u00a0Proposals are required to include a title, author names and short biographies, format, and abstract (maximum 500 words).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Proposal Submission, Evaluation, Notification, Publication<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To submit a proposal, please visit the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/laconf2022.exordo.com\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">proposal submission site<\/a>.\n<ul>\n<li>The primary author will be required to create a profile. One author should complete the form submission and enter co-author information.<\/li>\n<li>Proposal submissions are due\u00a0<strong>Friday, April 29<\/strong>. Those submitting proposals will be notified of their status in June.<\/li>\n<li>Drafts of papers will be due by\u00a0October 17\u00a0and final papers for the proceedings will be due by\u00a0November 30.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The Library Assessment Conference Review Committee will evaluate proposals based on the criteria presented for each format.<\/li>\n<li>Each accepted presenter will be guaranteed a conference registration place and will be expected to pay the registration fee by\u00a0August 31. Registration will be available in June. We estimate registration fees will be between $100 and $200.<\/li>\n<li>Papers will be published in the conference proceedings, which will be freely and openly available via the conference website. Poster abstracts and PDF versions of posters will also be available on the conference website.
