The Health Science Librarians of Illinois (HSLI) Annual Conference Planning Committee would like to invite\u00a0library students to attend the organization’s Annual Conference\u00a0this fall.\u00a0It is currently scheduled to take place in person\u00a0at the\u00a0Starved Rock Lodge & Conference Center\u00a0in Oglesby, IL,\u00a0from Wednesday, September 7,\u00a0to Friday, September 9<\/strong>.\u00a0More information is available at our Conference site<\/a>.\u00a0Please note that the Conference Planning Committee will make\u00a0a final decision on whether the Conference will have an in-person or a virtual format by Wednesday, June 1, based on COVID-19 levels.<\/strong><\/p>\n We would also encourage students to consider volunteering at the Conference.\u00a0We are currently seeking volunteers to help with registration, take photos of events, take\u00a0down displays, and be a communication runner between sessions. In return for their assistance, students will receive a waiver for the Conference registration fee, an annual membership to HSLI, and the chance to\u00a0add this to their professional resume.\u00a0To apply, students need to fill out this application<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0attach their resume to the form.<\/p>\n Applications are due\u00a0Friday, May 6<\/strong>.\u00a0Applicants will be informed of the decision by\u00a0Friday, May 13.\u00a0If lodging funding is needed, students can apply for the Syed\u00a0Maghrabi\u00a0Conference Scholarship<\/a>.<\/p>\n Should you have any questions about our\u00a0Annual Conference, the HSLI organization, or the student volunteer opportunity, please contact Emily Johnson-Barlow (emj11@uic.edu<\/a>) or explore the\u202fHSLI website<\/a>.
