It will last\u00a0<strong>from Monday, April 4, to Sunday, May 1<\/strong>. The instructor is\u00a0Amanpreet Kaur. More information on the course and its learning objectives is below.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Introduction to Careers in STEM Librarianship&#8221; is a four-week asynchronous professional development course for library workers who are interested in dipping their toes in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math\/medicine) librarianship. This course will be offered in October 2021 and utilizes an asset-based approach to career exploration and focuses on the following learning objectives.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>identify various stakeholders who utilize STEM libraries<\/li>\n<li>explore the ways STEM librarians support the information needs of various stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>discuss potential career paths and trends within STEM librarianship<\/li>\n<li>list professional organizations, publications, listservs, and additional opportunities relevant to STEM librarianship<\/li>\n<li>interpret STEM librarian job descriptions<\/li>\n<li>create career-oriented deliverables (virtual resume, mock cover letter, and a professional development plan)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information, and to register, please go <a href=\"https:\/\/libraryjuiceacademy.com\/shop\/course\/283-introduction-to-career-paths-in-stem-librarianship\/?attribute_pa_session=2022-04-apr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.
