The\u00a0IACRL Nominations Committee\u00a0is\u00a0seeking candidates for the 2022-2023 Executive Board election. In April of\u00a02022, members will vote for the IACRL Vice-President\/President-Elect and Secretary.\u00a0Vice-President\/President-Elect is a three-year commitment (one year as Vice-President\/President-Elect, one year as President, and one year as Past President),\u00a0beginning in\u00a0July of 2022 and ending in\u00a0June of\u00a02025. Secretary is a one-year position, beginning in\u00a0July of\u00a02022 and ending in\u00a0June of 2023.<\/p>\n
The nomination process begins with an open call for nominations for these positions. All IACRL members are invited to nominate a colleague or self-nominate.\u00a0Submission of a nominee suggestion form does not guarantee the nominee will appear on the slate.\u00a0\u200bThe Nominating Committee will review all nominations and may also seek additional individuals to meet identified needs, in order to develop the strongest possible slate. According to the\u00a0IACRL Bylaws<\/a> and the\u00a0ILA Bylaws<\/a>, nominees selected to appear on the slate “must be members of ILA at the time of nomination”; that is, by the time the slate is finalized.<\/p>\n The Nominating Committee is seeking candidates who have the strategic skill sets to govern a professional, nonprofit association. Duties and expectations of Executive Board members can be found in the\u00a0IACRL Bylaws<\/a>.
