The program will focus on the topic of &#8220;Open Educational Resources and Equity&#8221;. The registration deadline is <strong>Friday, January 7<\/strong>. Please see below for more information.<\/p>\n<p>What do you think about when somebody mentions Open Educational Resources (OER)? A lot of conversations about OER&#8217;s begin and end at the cost. OER&#8217;s are free of course. But there is much more to OER&#8217;s when it comes to equity. Equity of access, equity of participation, equity of representation, and equity of outcomes all play a role in promoting use of OER&#8217;s in your library and on your campus.<\/p>\n<p>Please join ACRL MD and Nancy O&#8217;Neill, Associate Director of the William E Kerwan Center for Academic Innovation of the University System of Maryland for a morning of learning about OER&#8217;s and equity. In ad\u200bdition, Maryland state library OER practitioners will share their experience and expertise. Outcomes from this program include summarizing key principles of OER&#8217;s in order to explain opportunities for adoption and creation, analyzing how library skills can be leveraged to advance use of OER&#8217;s, and identifying roles for librarians and campus partners to support OER&#8217;s at your institution.<\/p>\n<p>To register, go <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdlib.org\/ev_calendar_day.asp?date=1%2F11%2F22&amp;eventid=132\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.
