Brian Miller of The Ohio State University Libraries, Lapis Cohen of the University of Pennsylvania, and I will be presenting on the\u00a0International ILL Toolkit\u00a0during a\u00a0webinar\u00a0on\u00a0Thursday, February 17, starting at 10:00 AM CDT<\/strong>.\u00a0The session, co-sponsored by the OCLC Research Library Partnership and the ALA RUSA STARS International ILL Committee, is\u00a0free and open to everyone in the resource sharing community<\/strong>.\u00a0Registration\u00a0is now open.\u00a0 (Even if you aren’t available to attend live, registering will ensure that you’ll be among the first to receive a link to the session recording soon afterwards.)<\/p>\n The\u00a0International ILL Toolkit\u00a0is\u00a0a freely available, crowd-sourced effort to make global resource sharing easier.\u00a0 The project was initiated after a discussion among members of the\u00a0SHARES resource sharing consortium<\/a>, where folks compared notes about the difficulty of finding information about ILL lenders willing to share internationally that aren’t suppliers on OCLC WorldShare ILL.\u00a0 Everyone seems to have their own cheat sheet with information about such lenders. \u00a0We wondered if maybe somebody should compile all those spreadsheets into a shareable tool and then systematically search for information on other such lenders.<\/p>\n Brian and Lapis stepped up and embraced that challenge.
