Thanks to all who participated in our first round of town halls and provided input\u00a0on potential strategic\u00a0plan goals.\u00a0There will be a second round in November, where we will invite\u00a0more concrete ideas and ask\u00a0members to share their expectations on the\u00a0direction RAILS should take moving forward.<\/p>\n<p>We invite all RAILS library staff at all levels and\u00a0from all types of libraries to attend one of the town halls\u00a0in the second round, whether or not you participated in the first round. Each town hall is two hours long and held via Zoom. See registration links below.\u00a0<strong>Please note that participation in these events is limited to staff from RAILS member libraries.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>We have\u00a0received very little feedback so far from academic, school, and specialized libraries<\/strong>, and hope that\u00a0staff from these libraries will be able to participate in the second round along with their public library colleagues. We are offering town halls at different times to accommodate a variety of schedules.\u00a0It is very important that our new strategic plan addresses the needs of all types and sizes of RAILS libraries.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions, please contact Monica Harris, at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:monica.harris@railslibraries.info\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">monica.harris@railslibraries.info<\/a>.
