The survey has been updated to include archivists from multiple kinds of institutions. For those who completed the first survey, I invite you to fill out this new one, as the old answers have been deleted. Again, apologies\u00a0for the\u00a0inconvenience.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>You are invited to participate in an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/louisiana.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_3jHzemBVbiSQXuC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online\u00a0survey<\/a>\u00a0examining the impact of COVID-19 on archives and special collections. Stein<br \/>\nHead of Special Collections\/Assistant Professor<br \/>\nEdith Garland Dupr\u00e9 Library<br \/>\nUniversity of Louisiana at Lafayette<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose of Study:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The COVID-19 pandemic required archivists and special collections staff\u00a0from various institutions\u00a0to change the ways they worked to accommodate conditions to protect patrons and themselves. The goal of this study is to gauge insight into how archivists adjusted to the pandemic and the effect these adjustments had on their work when returning\u00a0to their sites.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Procedure of Study:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Participants will be asked to take a\u00a0survey\u00a0on conditions and accommodations adopted when returning to work in the archives. The\u00a0survey\u00a0should take roughly 10-20 minutes to complete. Participation is optional and there is no penalty for not completing the\u00a0survey.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Participants:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Participants in this study include directors and heads of archives. Institutions include, but are not limited to academic libraries, public libraries, special libraries, and government archives. Participants should be limited to one director\/head per institution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Privacy and Confidentiality:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No identifying information will be used. All\u00a0survey\u00a0responses will be de-identified so no participant or institution can be personally identified. Only the principal investigator will have access to the dataset; the dataset&#8217;s existence on the Qualtrics server will be removed one year after the data collection phase.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contact:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For any questions, please contact the principal investigator, Zachary G.
