The author of the winning essay or project receives the following.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>complimentary student registration to MLA&#8217;s annual conference,<\/li>\n<li>a certificate at the conference, and<\/li>\n<li>a cash award of $500 after the conference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Author Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MLA member<\/li>\n<li>currently enrolled in an ALA-accredited program of library and information studies,\u00a0<strong>or<\/strong> have recently graduated from an ALA-accredited program of library and information studies during the eighteen months preceding the deadline,\u00a0<strong>or<\/strong> be enrolled as a trainee in an internship program in health sciences librarianship or medical informatics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The deadline is <strong>Monday, November 1<\/strong>.
