Join us for <em>Spark: Open Pathways &#8211; Exploring the Intersections of Diversity Equity and Inclusion and Open Educational Resources<\/em>. The event will take place from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday, December 9, via Zoom. Library workers from all libraries in Illinois are welcome to attend!<\/p>\n<p>Registration is now open. To register, go <a href=\"https:\/\/us02web.zoom.us\/meeting\/register\/tZ0qc-Cpqj8vE9Kj6nhNk3VeOB5WqkpUR3eF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Committee is also seeking proposals for 10-minute lightning talks. Proposals should focus on one of the following topics.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>culturally responsive instruction and &#8220;Open&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>elements of traditional textbook publishing or pedagogy that exclude<\/li>\n<li>how &#8220;open&#8221; can clear barriers to DEI<\/li>\n<li>OER is not fundamentally diverse or inclusive<\/li>\n<li>OER and Belonging<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Proposals on other topics will also be considered as space allows.<\/p>\n<p>To see the full call for proposals, check <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ila.org\/events\/spark-open-pathways-exploring-the-inters\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.
