The conference will be held\u00a0<strong>October 13-15 (Wednesday-Friday)<\/strong>\u00a0and will be<strong> completely virtual<\/strong>. Attend from work or home!<\/p>\n<p>The conference will feature the following types of presentations.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u200blive-streamed programs<\/li>\n<li>12 Research Papers<\/li>\n<li>12 Posters<\/li>\n<li>16 Lightning Talks<\/li>\n<li>Exhibitor Showcase<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Presentation topics will include the following.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Career Development &amp; Recruiting<\/li>\n<li>Collaboration &amp; Outreach<\/li>\n<li>Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The keynote speakers and their talks are Nisha Mody, &#8220;How Can We Foster &#8216;Access Intimacy&#8217;\u00a0and Slow Down?: Reflections from COVID-19&#8221;,\u00a0and Ashley Ritter, &#8220;Those\u00a0Nerdy Girls: Translating Science via Social Media during the COVID-19 Pandemic&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the other benefits of attending the conference are below.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>attending\u00a0exhibitor showcases where you can learn about new offerings and tools<\/li>\n<li>participating in\u00a0fun and interactive events<\/li>\n<li>connecting and networking with other conference attendees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>More information about the event is available <a href=\"http:\/\/midwestmla.org\/conference2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.
