Mellon Fellowship for Diversity, Inclusion &amp; Cultural Heritage<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"x_xmsohyperlink\">at Rare Book School<\/span><span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"x_xmsohyperlink\">is now inviting applications to its third and final cohort (2022-2024), which will be selected\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"x_xmsohyperlink\">in<\/span><span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"x_xmsohyperlink\">early<\/span><span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"x_xmsohyperlink\">\u200b<\/span><span class=\"x_xmsohyperlink\">2022<\/span><span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span class=\"x_xmsohyperlink\">(with applications opening Wednesday, September 1).<\/span><span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"x_xmsohyperlink\">This program offers unique professional development opportunities<\/span><span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>for early- to mid-career professionals currently working in a special collections library, an archive, or at other cultural heritage institutions located in the United States.<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_xmsonormal\">As part of the program, selected fellows will receive the following.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_xmsolistparagraph\">tuition waivers for three Rare Book School courses;<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_xmsolistparagraph\">funding to attend the annual conference of the Rare Books and Manuscripts Section of the Association of College and Research Libraries in the first year of the fellowship;<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_xmsolistparagraph\">an opportunity to participate in one cultural heritage field school;<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_xmsolistparagraph\">funding to organize<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>community<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>symposia at their home institutions;<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_xmsolistparagraph\">and funding to attend conferences of the fellows&#8217; choice during their second and third years of participation in the program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_xmsonormal\">We invite prospective applicants to attend the<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>CHF Informational Session<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0via Zoom\u00a0<\/span>on<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<b>Tuesday, August 31, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM CDT<\/b><\/span>, where we will provide more information on the fellowship and the application process.<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>This<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>informational<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>session will also feature some of the<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>current fellows, who will speak about<span class=\"x_apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>their experience in the program thus far.
