We encourage submissions from all backgrounds and levels of experience, whether you are a data services veteran or newly interested in incorporating data literacy concepts into your work.<\/p>\n<p>Talks will be 7-10 minutes long depending on the final number of panelists. Time will be allocated at the end of the session for Q &amp; A.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of potential topics include the following.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>data literacy instruction<\/li>\n<li>data literacy outreach and engagement<\/li>\n<li>data literacy training for library staff<\/li>\n<li>data literacy among the disciplines<\/li>\n<li>geospatial data literacy<\/li>\n<li>data literacy in the digital humanities<\/li>\n<li>data literacy for diversity, equity, and inclusion<\/li>\n<li>feminist data literacy<\/li>\n<li>data literacy and civic engagement<\/li>\n<li>data visualization and infographics<\/li>\n<li>data management, formatting, archiving, and preservation<\/li>\n<li>finding and using data<\/li>\n<li>data ethics<\/li>\n<li>critical data literacy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Panelists should be prepared to engage in anti-oppressive behavior during the session, as articulated in the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/e\/2PACX-1vTfPMWNqsC0CQH68V273wiwIl0eX5okh_MqvUN1Oq7ebkIttv6gVvxtu_Z8Co3Q0Bo2HrtxuGgxS8b_\/pub\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DSS Community Agreement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Submit a Proposal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Complete proposals must include a title, full abstract (fewer than 300 words), and information for each speaker, including name, title, institution, brief bio, and email address.
