We thought you might be interested in a free virtual event taking place Tuesday, August 4, for academic librarians, “Critical Thinking Bootcamp: Skills, Tools, and Resources to Help Patrons Navigate a World of Misinformation”. Register and learn more here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Three expert librarians will share best practices and outside-the-box initiatives to help students avoid mis- and disinformation as they learn about and research critical social issues, and a group of your peers will share their experiences as well. Sessions include the following.<\/p>\n

–Misinformation, Disinformation, and COVID-19
\n–Lightning Talks (you are welcome to apply here<\/a> to give a 5-minute talk of your own)\u00a0\u00a0The deadline is Wednesday, July 22<\/strong>.
\n–Conversational Breakouts<\/p>\n

The event will take place on Tuesday, August 4, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM CDT<\/strong>, and attendees are welcome to join for all or just pop in for the sessions they can.\u00a0Attendees will leave with a toolkit to help implement what they learn.<\/p>\n
