The 2020 Digital Directions Training Conference will now take place online, from Monday, October 19, to Wednesday, October 21<\/strong>. Join us\u00a0for a comprehensive overview of digital preservation, presented by information professionals with deep experience in the preservation of cultural heritage materials. During three half-days of live, interactive, online training, you will learn about good practices and practical strategies for creating and managing digital collections, and you’ll gain confidence in decision-making for the preservation of your digital assets. Topics will include standards and specifications for digitization and digital preservation, metadata, copyright, selection for digitization, special considerations for audiovisual and born-digital materials, digital storage, and working with vendors and collaborative or consortial organizations.<\/p>\n Total registrants will be limited to 125 people to ensure that participants have opportunities to interact with both faculty and attendees.
