Hunt Jr. Library on the beautiful North Carolina State University campus. Proposals should fall into three categories:<\/span><span lang=\"EN\">Presentations: 25 or 50 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN\">Presentations: 25 or 50 minutes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN\">Panel Discussions: 50 minutes\u00a0<\/span><a name=\"x__heading=h.gjdgxs\"><\/a><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN\">Roundtables: 25 minutes<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">No need to be based in the southern United States. We welcome proposals from faculty\/educators, students, librarians, instructional designers, educational technologists, and administrators as well as institutions and organizations big and small involved in open education and open pedagogy from all over!\u00a0We&#8217;re hoping to create a program that provides development opportunities for both novices and advanced open education practitioners.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">Some proposal topic ideas that might be of interest include:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">Adoption and creation of resources<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">Publishing Platforms<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">Best Practices\u00a0and Impact of Open Education\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">Creative Commons, Copyright, and Other Licensing\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">Marketing and Advocacy<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">Pedagogy &amp; Student Success, including K-12 Highlights<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">Instructional Design Strategies for OER<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">Trends &amp; Innovation<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">OER in Community Colleges<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">Tenure, promotion, and OER<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">OER Community Building<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">Assessment<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">Inclusion and Diversity in Open Education\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">Crowd Sourcing OER Projects<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">OER Research<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">Graduate Students, Teaching Assistants, and OER on Campus<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">OER Basics: Tips for New Programs<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">Student Engagement in OER Advocacy<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">Accessibility of OER<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">Submission Details:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN\">The deadline for submissions is\u00a0<b>Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. Central Standard Time<\/b>. The submission form can be found on our <a href=\"https:\/\/openedss.uark.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">event website<\/a>\u00a0under the <u><a href=\"https:\/\/openedss.uark.edu\/call-for-proposals.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">Call for Proposals<\/a><\/u> page. A preview of the full submission form is available as a <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2GD0Crc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">PDF<\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Proposal social media summaries should not exceed 240 characters (spaces included). Social media summaries are shortened abstracts which will fit into a single tweet on Twitter.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Proposal abstracts should not exceed 2000 characters or approximately 500 words.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">All submissions will be evaluated based on the relevance of the topic and potential to advance the thinking or practice of open education and open pedagogy.
