The Open Education Southern Symposium<\/a> (OESS) planning committee is excited to announce that the next symposium will be held July 16 – 17, 2020 \u00a0on the North Carolina State University campus in Raleigh, North Carolina.<\/p>\n The Open Education Southern Symposium is a day and a half event for open education practitioners and advocates, both new and experienced, to gather, learn, and share.<\/p>\n When:<\/b> Thursday, July 16 – Friday, July 17<\/p>\n Where:<\/b> James B. Hunt Jr. Library, North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC<\/p>\n Cost:<\/b> $99<\/p>\n Theme:<\/b> Open Connections: Regional and Local Community Building for Equity and Sustainability<\/p>\n Keynote:<\/b> Anita Walz, Assistant Director of Open Education and Scholarly Communication Librarian, Virginia Tech<\/p>\n Watch for our call for proposals in mid-December 2019!<\/p>\n Registration is set to open in early January 2020.<\/p>\n Call for Volunteers: <\/b><\/p>\n We are looking for 4 <\/b>volunteers to join the planning committee as part of our program committee. If you are interested in helping review program proposals and create the OESS program in 2020, please visit our volunteer form<\/a> to submit your information and find out more about the expectations.
