As a member of the Health Science Librarians of Illinois (HSLI) Annual Conference Planning Committee, I would like to invite your graduate students to attend the Annual Conference of the Health Science Librarians of Illinois this fall.\u00a0 Can you please pass this invitation on to them? It will be held in Champaign, IL at the iHotel on Wednesday, September 11, to Friday, September 13.\u00a0 This conference will feature continuing education, invited speakers, and networking opportunities for Library Science students to learn about health sciences librarianship from professionals in the field.<\/p>\n
We would also encourage your students to consider volunteering at the conference.\u00a0 We are currently seeking two volunteers to help with registrations, take photos of events, take down displays, and be a communication runner between sessions.\u00a0 In return for their assistance, students will receive a waiver for the conference registration fee and be able to add this to their professional resume.\u00a0 To apply, students need to fill out this form (https:\/\/library.methodistcol.edu\/hsli-student-volunteer-application<\/a>) and attach their resume to the form.\u00a0 Applications are due Friday, August 9, 2019<\/b>.\u00a0 Applicants will be informed of the decision soon afterwards.
