https:\/\/www.eventscribe.com\/2019\/ALA-Annual\/fsPopup.asp?Mode=presInfo&PresentationID=518946<\/a><\/p>\nEmergencies and disasters happen.\u00a0 How you are prepared to manage them can make all of the difference.\u00a0 We are excited to offer a unique learning opportunity that is focused on how to implement FEMA’s Incident Command System (ICS) into your emergency\/disaster response.\u00a0 ICS offers a simple framework that any library can learn how to apply and implement into the library’s emergency management plan.\u00a0 This engaging workshop will offer a variety of exercises to help you retain and apply what you learned.\u00a0 Spend the afternoon with an emergency management expert working on a “mock” disaster in a table top exercise that will take everything you learned in the morning session and apply it immediately to a realistic library disaster event.<\/p>\n
