“Aligning the Three Pillars of Effective Instruction: Outcomes, Teaching, and Assessment for Health Sciences Librarians”

Thursday, July 12, 1:00-2:30 PM CDT

Overview

You may be assessing your instruction in a way that does not really tell you if your teaching is effective. The MLA webinar “Aligning the Three Pillars of Effective Instruction” will show you how to write specific, meaningful objectives that you can use to create informative assessments. Participants will examine examples of good learning outcomes, learn why it makes sense to assess performance
rather than perception, and explore performance assessment measures. There will be time for participants to ask questions about their courses.
