Call for Posters and Lightning Talks: MLA 2021 Annual Conference (Deadline Tues., Feb. 9)

(via the Medical Library Association)

The 2021 National Program Committee invites abstract submissions that support the annual meeting theme, “Transforming Our Diversifying Communities.” The MLA ’21 call for posters and lightning talks is now open and will remain open until Tuesday, February 9.

Posters and lightning talks are great ways to share information about research or programs. Submitters must choose a primary area of practice that relates to the submission. The relevant MLA Areas of Practice are Clinical Support, Education, Global Health & Health Equity, Information Management, Information Services, Innovation & Research Practice, and Professionalism & Leadership.

Like papers, posters and lightning talks can be submitted as program descriptions or as research submissions. They require a structured abstract, and more information about structured abstracts can be found at “The Structured Abstract: An Essential Tool for Researchers”. If you have submitted a paper that was not accepted, consider resubmitting the topic as a poster or a five-minute lightning talk.

Find more information on the submission process at “MLA ’21 FAQ: Papers, Posters, Lightning Talks, and Immersion Sessions”. Additional information about the meeting itself, including a tentative schedule and registration prices, is available here. Questions? Contact Debra Cavanaugh (Director, Professional Development), at cavanaugh@mail.mlahq.org, with the subject line “MLA 21 Call for Submission Questions”.
