Reminder: Some Types of Program Proposals for ACRL 2021 Conference (April 14-17 in Seattle) Due Friday, May 8, 2020

ACRL invites proposal submissions for the ACRL 2021 Conference, “Ascending into an Open Future”, to be held April 14-17, 2021, in Seattle, Washington. Friday, May 8, 2020, is the deadline for ACRL 2021 contributed paper, panel session, preconference, and workshop proposals. Especially now, today’s higher education environment calls for innovative ways to support student, faculty, and institution success. Through the efforts of talented library workers, today’s academic and research libraries are providing more open and inclusive collections and services.

A Format for Everyone

ACRL 2021 offers a variety of options for participation and features nine session formats to suit a wide range of presentation and learning styles to share your research and creative endeavors with your colleagues.

Review the proposal elements and consult the Conference tags to stimulate your thinking and position your proposal within the conference theme. Submit proposals via the online form available on the Conference website.

Through our Core Commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and dedication to open and equitable scholarship, ACRL strives to develop an inclusive conference program in Seattle that will reflect the library community’s diverse range of race, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, economic background, age, and ability. We also seek presenters and topics from all types of libraries, positions, and experiences, including non-library faculty, staff, and administrators.

Due Dates

Contributed paper, panel session, preconference, and workshop proposals are due on Friday May 8, 2020. Lightning talk, digital poster session, roundtable discussion, TechConnect, and virtual conference webcast proposals are due on Friday, October 9, 2020.
